50% of people will contract a sexually transmitted disease before the age of 25 – this shocking statistic is compounded by the fact that the majority of STDs will not have any symptoms whatsoever.
While it may be easy for me to urge the public to test their sexual health, the reality of sexual health screening for people largely depends on a number of variables, included but not limited to:
- The inconvenience of needing to take time off work
- Not wanting to spend time in a waiting room
- The prospect of having an awkward face to face conversation with a physician
- The costs associated with testing
At LetsGetChecked, we strive to break down the stigma around sexually transmitted diseases, but for those who are experiencing symptoms of an STD or have received a notification from a partner, it can be a highly stressful experience, and people may feel embarrassed or ashamed of their diagnosis.
On top of that, sexual health screening can be extremely expensive, especially for those who don’t have insurance – all of these variables make it easier for people to bury their heads in the sand and avoid the issue altogether.
LetsGetChecked offers at home STD testing that is accurate and affordable while delivering quick results and on-going support that is both convenient and discreet.
LetsGetChecked relies on three C’s in ensuring that patients can receive a sexual health screening as quickly and efficiently as possible from the comfort of their home.
We offer convenience, cost effectiveness and total confidentiality for those who don’t have time to stop.
Our goal at LetsGetChecked is to ensure that the public has more access to sexual health screening through creating a more seamless process from the delivery of the test to someone’s door to the delivery of results via a call from our medical team.

How Does STD Testing Work?
Here’s how it works in 4 simple steps:
- Collect
Collect a sample at home and return the packaging provided.
- Analyze
Your sample is tested in one of our accredited laboratories.
- Results
Negative results are securely delivered within 2-5 days.
- Support
If your result is positive, a registered nurse will call to provide support and treatment options.
Our patients can order their tests from our online store. Once patients receive their test kit, they self-collect their sample before mailing it back in with the prepaid label.
Samples are analyzed in one of our fully accredited partner laboratories and results will be available within a matter of days.
Once your samples have been analyzed, our medical team will review your results and call you to advise on next steps. Your results will also be released to your online personalized dashboard so you have access to your results at all times.
Our patients comment again and again on the fantastic service provided by our medical team who offer support and guidance throughout the entire process, from inquiries about the tests to the delivery of a patient’s results.
We attribute our fast growing number of sales, especially in sexual health tests to the fact that customers can rest assured that they will receive the support they need without needing to deviate from their busy schedules.

The Simple Sexual Health Test
The Simple Test measures the two of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in the world. While we recommend a full sexual health screening, this is a good test to take if you are on a budget and/or if a previous partner has specifically notified you that they have chlamydia or gonorrhea.
What does it test for?
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
The Basic Sexual Health Test
The Basic Test measures chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis. Again, we recommend that you undergo a full sexual health screening, whether it is simply an annual check up or you have concerns, but if you have a reason to specifically screen for these three STDs, this test may be a good option for you, especially if you are on a budget.
What does it test for?
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Trichomoniasis
The Standard Sexual Health Test
The LetsGetChecked Standard Test is our most popular test, measuring some of the most commonly contracted STDs in the world.
What does it test for?
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Trichomoniasis
- H.I.V. (I, II, P24 antigen)
- Syphilis
The Complete Sexual Health Test
The Complete Test test offers a fully comprehensive overview of your sexual health by measuring common sexually transmitted diseases as well as some lesser known bacterial infections that may still cause an array of negative side effects and symptoms.
What does it test for?
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Trichomoniasis
- H.I.V. (I, II, P24 antigen)
- Syphilis
- Gardnerella Mycoplasma
- Ureaplasma
- Herpes Simplex I
- Herpes Simplex II
Note: The Complete 10 Tests takes a urine sample for herpes simplex I & II virus which means that this test will be able to tell you if the virus is actively shedding in the urine ONLY, which is uncommon. [The STI Project DOES NOT recommend this herpes test.]
The stand-alone Herpes Test takes a blood sample to look for HSV1 and HSV2 using a finger prick blood sample, and this tells you if you have the virus, whether it is lying dormant or actively shedding.
If you have additional questions about our testing options, you can contact us directly by phone, via live webchat, or you can schedule a call with our medical team who will talk you through the process.
We understand your concerns about sexual health screenings, and we know that it can be an incredibly stressful time. Whether you are experiencing symptoms, or you simply want a check up, we are here to help in whatever way we can.
It’s good to know.
